  1. Such a powerful post, Lori! I am writing this through tears, as I recognize my own lack of gratitude and joy in my own heart! You’re right, our circumstances certainly pave a course for us, but they shouldn’t rob us of our gratitude and joy, especially if we’ve been rooted in those attitudes.
    My favorite line: “The seed of ordinary thankfulness, watered by God’s grace, can sprout into a life of gratitude.”
    This is what we should all be seeking and guiding our kids toward!
